The goal of this Programme is to equip Aviation Safety Inspectors with the practical competencies needed to develop, implement and assess safety management systems in compliance with ICAO Annex 19 and ICAO Doc 9859.

At the end of the Safety Management for SSP Coordinators Programme, you will be able to:  

• Describe ICAO safety management provisions and the implementation of State Safety Programme (SSP) and Safety Management System (SMS) at State and service provider level, respectively
• Conduct State-level safety risk assessments and evaluate service provider safety risk assessments
• Implement State Safety Programmes within your State, as per ICAO Annexes and applicable State’s rules
• Conduct assessment and monitoring of Safety Management Systems, in accordance with ICAO Annex 19 - Safety Management and ICAO Doc 9859 - Safety Management Manual
