Description

This Programme is designed for SSP Coordinators to develop the skills and expertise needed to lead State Safety Program (SSP) implementation in line with ICAO Safety Management Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). Participants will learn how to develop and implement SSP/SMS plans, assess and prioritize safety risks, evaluate safety cases, and design effective risk mitigation strategies. with a focus on practical tools, collaborative information-sharing, and safety promotion.

Goal

The Safety Management for SSP Coordinators Programme will provide those responsible for SSP coordination within a Civil Aviation Authorities or agencies with the competencies required to manage the State Safety Programme in their State in accordance with ICAO Annexes and applicable State rules.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the Safety Management for SSP Coordinators Programme, you will be able to:  

  • Describe ICAO safety management provisions and the implementation of State Safety Programme (SSP) and Safety Management System (SMS) at State and service provider level, respectively
  • Manage the State Safety Programme in their State in accordance with ICAO Annexes and applicable State rules
  • Conduct State-level safety risk assessments and evaluate Service Provider safety risks assessments
