Goal

The course will provide air traffic controllers with necessary theoretical knowledge, practical skills and attitudes to perform OJTI/STDI duties in unit training environment in accordance with the OJTIs’ competencies and observable behaviours of the ICAO competency framework presented in the ICAO PANS-TRG, Doc 9868.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be able to:

  • Apply planning procedures for training
  • Organize required training environment and conditions
  • Manage the trainee during training
  • Conduct a training session
  • Ensure safety and efficiency of the operation during training;
  • Apply human factors principles during training
  • Evaluate the trainee’s performance;
  • Evaluate the efficiency of training

Primary Target Population

Air traffic controllers who hold or have held an ATC licence.
