Automatic Fire Detection System (AFDS) Equipment Maintenance Course
Goal
This course will provide CNS technicians(Electronic Engineering Staff) with knowledge, skills and attitude to be able to perform daily checks/maintenance, monthly checks/maintainance, half yearly checks/maintenance, yearly checks/maintenance, repair AFDS Equipment at Airport Terminal Buildings and other locations in accordance with the installation Manual (Doc No 996 -131-000-4) IAS Fire Systems by Honeywell.

After successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to :
1. Perform daily checks/ maintenance
2.Perform monthly checks/maintenance
3. Perform quarterly checks/maintenance
4. Perform yearly checks/maintenance
5. Repair AFDS Equipment
Primary Target Population
This course is meant for CNS personnel (CNS Technicians) who are responsible for maintenance of AFDS equipment.
The primary target population is CNS technicians who are directly involved in the maintenance of AFDS Equipment and those CNS technicians earmarked for maintenance of AFDS Equipment,
The secondary target population is CNS engineers who are in charge for supervision of CNS technicians .
Entry Requirements
1. Electronics Engineering Staff ( CNS Technicians) who have successfully completed Aeronautical Radio Maintence (ARM) Course or an equivallent.
2. Having command on English language both written and spoken.
