NOTAM Specialist Course / Classroom Phase
Goal
The course will provide participants with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to efficiently manage 'Notices to Airmen (NOTAM)' at AIS units in international and local aerodromes, as required by national and international standards stipulated in Annex 15, ICAO Doc. 8126,OPADD Version 4.0, Sri Lanka NOTAM Procedure Manual (May 2018), CAASL 028.stipulated in Annex 15, ICAO Doc. 8126, OPADD Version 4.0, Sri Lanka NOTAM Procedure Manual (May 2018), CAASL IS 028.
Learning Objectives
By following this course, the trainees will gain the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes to
- Originate Event Driven NOTAM
- Originate Scheduled NOTAM
- Respond to all types of incoming NOTAM
Structure
- Module 0: Introduction
- Module 1: Originate Event Driven NOTAM
- Module 2: Originate Scheduled NOTAM
- Module 3: Respond to all types of incoming NOTAM
Primary Target Population
Personnel attached to AIS operational units who are experienced in AIS duties.
Entry Requirements
Trainee should have successfully completed the NOTAM Specialist Course / Online Phase in a period of not more than 24 weeks before scheduled classroom delivery.
