Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Scholarships will be awarded by invitation only to eligible candidates from civil aviation regulatory bodies. The candidate should be employed by a civil aviation authority (CAA), a Regional Safety Oversight Organization (RSOO), Regional Accident or Incident Investigation Organization (RAIO), Airport or Cooperative Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness Programmes (COSCAPs).

Scholarships offered may include: tuition fees, meals, accommodations and/or airfare. Other expenses such as medical travel insurance, visa application fees shall be borne by the applicant or the employer, if applicable.

ICAO will issue invitation letters through its Regional Offices to inform target Member States of the planned delivery of the course, ensuring all identified States and catchment areas have an opportunity to nominate suitable candidates to undergo the training.

Scholarship candidates must meet the eligibility criteria indicated in the ICAO State Letter/Invitation Letter, be nominated by their Member State, endorsed by the Regional Office and notified accordingly to participate.

The final decision for granting ICAO scholarships shall remain at the discretion of ICAO.
