Innovation in Aviation Training Programme
Goal
To enhance participants’ understanding of innovation in aviation and equip them with the practical skills to navigate regulatory challenges and foster adaptive organizational strategies. This programme supports the transformation of the civil aviation system through innovation awareness and application of related principles.
This hybrid training programme includes a 3-hour self-paced online course followed by a 4-hour virtual eWorkshop. The online course, Fundamentals of Innovation in Aviation, introduces key concepts related to innovation ecosystems, regulatory environments, and organizational barriers. The Innovation in Aviation - Application, enables deeper engagement through interactive sessions, case discussions, and application of theory to practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this programme, the participant will be able to:
- Explain the value of innovation and recognize various types of innovations in aviation.
- Describe the innovation ecosystem and distinguish between in-sector aviation stakeholders, emerging aviation stakeholders and out-of-sector stakeholders involved in innovation activities.
- Comprehend the regulatory framework and industry expectations.
- Identify regulatory challenges and evaluate mechanisms for overcoming them.
- Analyze common organizational barriers to innovation.
- Recommend adaptive management strategies to support innovation implementation.
Target Population
Primary target audience:
- Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) engaged in the development and implementation of aviation policies and regulations who are looking to foster innovation within their activities.
- Representatives from International/Regional Organizations in Aviation: Individuals involved in innovation initiatives at the regional level, looking to enhance their understanding of innovation management and its application in air transportation.
- Aviation Stakeholders: Professionals from the aviation sector routinely involved in international civil aviation, such as airlines, airports, and maintenance organizations, who are implementing or planning to implement innovative concepts to enhance their services.
Secondary target audience:
- Emerging aviation stakeholders or professionals and representatives from out-of-sector companies, such as startups and solution providers, who propose innovative products or solutions aimed at transforming the aviation industry and would benefit from understanding the perspectives of traditional aviation stakeholders and regulators.
Certificate
Upon successfully completing this programme, participants will receive an e-Certificate of completion of the programme from ICAO.
