Description

Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC) is the apex training organization of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) and one of the most important units of it. The name itself indicates its functional importance. CAAB is mainly responsible for safe operation of civil aircraft, and efficient and expeditious flow of air traffic within the Flight Information Region (FIR) bounded by the international geographic boundary of Bangladesh. CATC trains CAAB’s employees of all levels in the fields of Air Traffic Control, Communication, Navigation, Surveillance, Crash Fire and Rescue, Aviation Security and Aerodrome Engineering,


Mission

Developing trained competent human resource for Civil Aviation Authority.

Develop standard professional knowledge, skill and attitude to a satisfactory level.

Conducting research in the fields of training program to develop training standards, quality control and risk management.

Establish effective co-operation with national and international training organizations with the aim of developing CATC’s organizational capacity.

Develop patriotism in all employees of CAAB in light of the spirit of Liberation War 1971.
Promote culture of continuous learning in CAAB employees to serve the nation with enhanced capacity.
