Search and Rescue Administrator Course
Goal
This course is aimed to equip personnel involved in Search and Rescue administration with the competencies to plan, coordinate, manage, and continuously improve SAR operations at the administrative level, as per international standards ICAO Annex 12, IMO SOLAS, ICAO Doc 9731, Vol I.
Learning Objectives
• Review the State SAR Administration Policy and Obligation
• Identify critical components in Establishment of SAR organization
• Determine SAR service Funding
• Develop Letters of Agreement and MOUs with SAR Units, other Agencies and States
• Develop SAR Operations Plan
• Identify emerging trends and technologies in SAR

Primary Target Population
Officers involved in Search and Rescue administration i.e. CAA SAR officers, Maritime SAR officers and Uniformed forces
Entry Requirements
• Proficiency in English language (written and spoken)
• At least 3 years’ experience in SAR Operations
