Goal

This course will provide the participants with necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to ensure the flow of aeronautical data and aeronautical information necessary for global air traffic management (ATM) system safety, regularity, economy and efficiency in accordance with ICAO Annex 15 requirements.


Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Manage raw data;
  • Process static data and information;
  • Process dynamic data and information;
  • Handle pre and post flight information;
  • Handle ATS reporting office (ARO) functions.

  • Module 0: Introduction
  • Module 1: Managing raw data
  • Module 2: Processing static data and information
  • Module 3: Issuing NOTAM and NOTAM Checklist
  • Module 4: Issuing SNOWTAM
  • Module 5: Processing incoming NOTAM(s)
  • Module 6: Processing flight plan and ATS message
  • Module 7: Handling pre and post flight information

Primary Target Population

The training is most beneficial for:

  • Current AIS/AIM officers/supervisors;
  • AIS/AIM practitioners;
  • AIS/AIM managers responsible for the functioning and planning of AIS developments and their implementation.
  • AIS/AIM inspectors and CAA/ANS level specialists responsible for AIS oversight.

Entry Requirements

The Trainee should:

  • Have university degree or at least high school degree;
  • Fluent in English;
