Goal

The course aims to provide the Aeronautical Cartography Specialists with competences required to develop all types of Aeronautical Charts effectively and efficiently in accordance with ICAO Annex 4 - Aeronautical Charts, 11th Edition, July 2009; ICAO Aeronautical Chart Manual, Doc. 8697, Third Edition, 2016, ECAR 31.1, 2024.


Learning Objectives

After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:

. Acquire the relevant concept of the modern Air Navigation Satellite Systems

. Identify the digital data sources used in the chart’s productions

. Produce all types of local AIP charts using drawing tools

. Apply quality assurance procedures on the production Aeronautical Charts

Entry Requirements

Having a university degree or equivalent, preferable in civil engineering or Geography.

Having at least 2 years’ experience in the field of AIS

Attended the Basic Aeronautical Cartography Course

Aware of chart drawing tools
