Goal

Provide the ATM/CNS engineering personnel with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to be able to design, install and maintain computer networks supporting ATM/CNS services according to the international best practices.


Learning Objectives

Uopn completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Plan the ATM/CNS Local Area Network (LAN);
  • Plan the ATM/CNS Wide Area Network (WAN);
  • Install the configured ATM/CNS Local Area Network (LAN);
  • Install the configured ATM/CNS Wide Area Network (WAN);
  • Maintain the installed ATM/CNS Local Area Network (LAN);
  • Maintain the installed ATM/CNS Wide Area Network (WAN)

Primary Target Population


  • Newly Employed ATM/CNS Engineering Personnel resposible for ATM/CNS Computer Networks;

  • Employed ATM/CNS Engineering personnel who are semi-skilled;

  • Experienced ATM/CNS Engineering Personnel who require relevant skills to remain current;

  • ATM/CNS Engineering Personnel employed with different skills but need to learn the new skills.


Entry Requirements

Grade 12 (Matriculants) or equivalent with a pass in:

  • English Language (ICAO Level 4): Written and spoken;
  • Mathematics
  • Basic Computer Skills (e.g. login, create-save-send-receive data)
  • Familiarity with computer setup and customization
