Aeronautical Information Officer Initial Training
Goal
The goal of the course is to provide persons desirous of pursuing a career in Aeronautical Information Service/Management; with initial training to acquire the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes to effectively collect, validate, classify, prepare, publish aeronautical data and information, and to provide aeronautical briefing services; in accordance with ICAO Annex 15 Aeronautical Information Services.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course the participants will be able to:
- Collect aeronautical data from sources.
- Validate aeronautical data received.
- Classify aeronautical data according to IAIP elements
- Prepare aeronautical data for dissemination and storage.
- Publish Aeronautical Information in accordance with ICAO SARPS.
- Provide Pre-flight Information Briefings and Flight Planning services.

Primary Target Population
The training is mostly beneficial to persons who have successfully completed High school, have English Language Proficiency Level 4, are computer literate and desirous of pursuing a career in Aeronautical Information Service/Management.
Entry Requirements
The Course participants are required to have:
- Successful high school certification
- English Language Proficiency Level 4
- good computer skills
- own or have access to computer/laptop
- Internet connection (bandwidth 2.0 Mbps or higher)
