Goal
Provide aviation professionals with the competencies to support their organization as they engage with issues related to aviation insurance and liability, in compliance with the Chicago Convention (Doc 7300), the Montreal Convention 1999 (Doc 9740), the Rome Convention 1952.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the fundamental principles of aviation insurance
- Identify liabilities for various aviation operations and the legal framework for dealing with them.
- Identify legal and regulatory requirements for insurance coverage of certain risks and liabilities
- Identify appropriate risks, products and placing coverage to manage claims
- Apply strategies to mitigate risks through insurance
