Goal
This course will provide Managers in charge of the Operation standard Department with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to effectively implement national operation regulation in compliance with ICAO Provisions contained in Annex 6, and therefore notably enhance aviation safety, efficiency, and airline performance and viability.
Learning Objectives
- Interpret adequately Annex 6 Part 1 SARPs and national regulations;
- Identify Annex 6 Part 1 SARPs and national regulations applicable to their airlines;
- Identify airline processes and departments impacted by Annex 6 Part 1 SARPs and national regulations;
- Design a framework to implement the applicable SARPs of Annex 6 Part 1 and national regulations;
- Design a framework ensuring compliance of the Airline Operations Manual with Annex 6 Part 1 SARPs and national regulations;
- Interact effectively with CAAs and other stakeholders for the implementation of provisions contained in Annex 6 Part 1 and national regulations;
- Design a framework indicating the roles and the responsibilities of various departments in the implementation of Annex 6 provisions and ensuring full compliance of their airline with ICAO provisions and national regulations;
- Lead the implementation of a reliable and sustainable system for the implementation of Annex 6 Part 1 and national regulations.
Structure
- Module 0: Introduction
- Module 1: Establishing an OPS Compliance Statement for the applicable OPS Requirements
- Module 2: Coordinating the Implementation of OPS Requirements
- Module 3: Monitoring the Consistent Implementation of OPS Requirements
Primary Target Population
The Primary target population are Managers and Staff of Operations’ Standards Department in AOC Holder in charge of coordinating compliance of the Operations Manual with applicable national regulations and ICAO Annex6 Part 1.
Entry Requirements
- Proficiency in the English language at the pre-operational level;
- Three years of practical operational experience as a pilot, flight operations officer, or CAA OPS inspector;
- Computer literacy;
- Basic knowledge of project management methods and tools
