Goal
The course provides safety personnel working in aviation service providers with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to competently carry out investigation of operational incidents in accordance with Thailand regulations and ICAO provisions.
Learning Objectives
After successful completion of the course participants will able to:
- Perform risk analysis.
- Facilitate operational incident investigations in your organization as part of SMS-programme.
- Identify appropriate methods for gathering data related to the incident.
- Apply interviewing techniques.
- Analyze operational data using Shell-model / Swiss-cheese / Human Factor and Classification System
(HFACS) to identify the root causes and contributing factors.
- Develop safety recommendations to prevent re-occurrences
- Issue the incident investigation report.

Primary Target Population
- Aviation Service Provider's safety investigators.
- Safety Manager/Officer and/or SMS practitioners working in Aviation Service Providers ( Air Operator, Airport Operators, Air Traffic Navigation Services, MRO, ATO, Aircraft Manufacturer, Ground Handling Agency, and General Aviation)
Entry Requirements
- At least one year of experience in the aviation field and/or aviation operational safety.
- Good command of English.
- Basic knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) in aviation
